Have A Confident Expectation

June 30, 2009

as you have believed, so let it be done for you… – Matthew 8:13

As we believe, so is life until us.  If we believe life is bad, that is the way it will be.  Instead we need to have a confident expectation of the Word coming to pass in our lives.  That is believing.  When we have a confidence in God and His Word, we are truly believing God to do what He said He would do.

Double For Your Trouble

June 29, 2009

Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. -  Zechariah 9:12

All of you who are going through trouble, take heart before, just like Job, God will restore to you double for your trouble.  If you stay in faith, believing God to bring you out, you will see God work to restore to you not only what you lost but double.

That Your Joy May Be Full

June 28, 2009

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. – John 16:24

According to this Scripture, it would seem that your joy is full once you ask and receive.  Many times this is true.  Our children are sick.  Our finances are in dire straits.   Our jobs are in jeopardy.   And until are needs are met, we do not have any joy.  However, when we have God’s joy, it is strength to us.  It helps us to be joyful while we are waiting for the manifestation of our miracles, breakthroughs and turn-arounds.

He Destroyed The Devil

June 27, 2009

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  – I John 3:8

God sent Jesus to destroy the works of the devil.  He defeated satan at the Cross.  The devil is defeated.  Many of us are trying to defeat the devil.  He is already defeated.  All we have to do is enforce that defeat through the Word.

Confused?

June 26, 2009

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. – I Corinthians 14:33

Confusion, a disturbed mental state of disorder, upheaval, tumult and chaos, is not from God.  It is from the devil.  Jesus left us His peace–His nothing missing, nothing broken–peace which passes all understanding and all we have to do to claim it is to let not our hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid (John 14:27).

Watch Your Focus

June 25, 2009

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing. – Psalm 34:10

When we seek the Lord, when we spend time with God, worshipping Him, praising Him, focusing on Him instead of us, God will pour out more blessings on us than we can handle.

Walk Through The Valley

June 24, 2009

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. – Psalm 23:4

Most of us think that when we are in God’s will that we will have no trouble.  However, in the 23th Psalm, God is leading us and guiding us and still when we hit the 4th verse, we are walking through the shadow of death.  You see, though, when you are in God’s will, though, you will walk through the trouble, you will not be stuck there.  You will not be touched by it, and it will not be in you.

Free For The Taking

June 23, 2009

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? – Romans 8:32

Everything from God is a free gift.  Free meaning you cannot work to earn your gifts from God.  You cannot merit them, earn them or deserve them.  All God gives us are free.  Why?  If you earned them, deserved them or merited them, you could then say that you are the reason for the gifts and not God.

He Preserves Us

June 22, 2009

The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. – Psalms 145:20

The Lord preserves all them that love Him.  What does it mean to preserve?  It means to keep alive or in existence; make lasting; to keep safe from harm or injury; protect or spare.  Now God loves us so He keeps us safe from harm, keeps us in existence.  Isn’t that what you as a loving parent would do?

Conviction, Condemnation

June 21, 2009

“Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” – John 8:11

God is not condemning you.  In the churches, we have heard that God doesn’t condemn.  He convicts.  Yes, He convicts the sinner, but once you are a Child of God, a new creation, the only thing He convicts you of is of your righteousness in Christ.  It is your own conscience that convicts you.
