Our Secret Place

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. – Psalm 91:1

In the Old Testament, the secret place used to be between the cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant, where God dwelt.

Now, though, through the shed blood of Jesus, we have been put in right standing with God.  Christ lives in us.  He is our mercy seat, the atonement for our sins.

And in Him is the Secret Place, the place where we can come boldly before the Father and cry out to Him for mercy and grace, where we can expect to be greeted warmly and without rebuke, where we can hide when the world becomes too much to handle.

It is like having a tree fort, a secret meeting place for all your friends to gather and never using it.

We are already in the Secret Place of the Most High.  It’s time to retreat to that place and meet God, to talk to Him, to be with Him, to just be in His presence.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.”  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
