Is Your Heart Troubled?

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  – Philippians 4:6-7

Jesus tells us in John 14:27 that He left us His peace, but that if we wanted to experience it, we had to guard our hearts.  We had to make sure our hearts weren’t troubled.

When we have a troubled heart, we don’t experience God’s peace as we should.  We all have it.  Jesus left it to us all, but we don’t experience because we are troubled in our hearts.  We are guarding everything on the outside our families, businesses, work, money but God wants us to only guard one thing our hearts.  When we do, we will experience God’s peace.

How do we untrouble our hearts?  By praying about those things that concern us and by leaving them in God’s hands.  Then the peace of God will keep your heart and mind.
