Rest In His Finished Work

he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest…  – Hebrews 4:10-11

We are to enter God’s rest.  What is His rest?  It is resting in the finished work of Christ.

Many of us think that Jesus just died to save us from hell at the Cross.

His blood not only saved us from hell.  It took away our sins–past, present and future.  It put us in right standing with God. He took our sins.  He gave us His righteousness.

Not only that His stripes took our sickness and disease.  His crown of thorns took our anxiety and fear.  His hanging on the Cross took the curse for us of poverty, lack and any of the other problems that come from the curse.

It is already done.  Already finished.  Jesus already paid for and gave you all things that pertain to life and godliness at the Cross.

Now it’s time to rest in what He has already done for you.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.”  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
