Not By Works

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, – Ephesians 2:8

Salvation is a free gift.  After you have accepted Christ, you are saved.  You weren’t saved by your own good works, and you won’t lose your salvation through your bad works.  Salvation is a gift from God, and to try to earn salvation through good works is to disrespect, dishonor and negate what Jesus did for you at the Cross.
