Flavor The Dull Food

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. – Matthew 5:13.

We are the salt of the earth.  What does salt do?  It flavors otherwise dull food.  However in our society, the church has become the dull food and the world seems to have all the flavor.

The Word, once you begin to understand it, is anything but dull.  When you discover that Jesus died in your place, so you would never have to be judged again, that Jesus’ blood saves you from Hell and puts you in right-standing with God, it should be a time of rejoicing.

The church is bombarding its people with the rules and regulations of religion instead of telling them the wonderful news about having a relationship with God.

If we moved from religion to relationship, we would bring flavor to the world around us.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.”  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
