Your Purpose Is Calling

If God Doesn’t, Don’t

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 3:12

I identify with Paul in this Scripture because too many times, I just fall so short in different areas of my life.

Worrying, for instance, I have been, what one of my favorite preachers calls, a champion worrier. If it were an Olympic sport, I would be a five-time gold medalist.

I have not arrived in this area. Some areas I have improvement in, but this one is the still a looming giant in my life.

For many of us, walking in the Christian life is a lot like taking one step forward and three steps back.

The key to remember, though, is that we must never condemn or judge ourselves for our shortcomings, for the things we do wrong, because God does not condemn us or judge us once we accept Christ (Romans 8:1). .

Instead in those areas of our lives where we are having issues, we can tapped into God’s Strength by saying something like, “Lord, I’m frustrated trying to overcome this on my own. I can’t, but I know that You can” every time we encounter that problem.

Before you know it, that problem will be a kitten instead of a lion in your life, thanks to God, your Father.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? That He was raised from the dead? Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.” If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again. Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
