Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: – Philippians 3:4
I am a very emotional person. I can see a commercial on television or a movie and cry. I hear song on the radio, such as Jesus, Take The Wheel or I Have Decided, and bawl.
Many times I would refuse to do something because I didn’t feel right about something. Usually, though, when that happens something is rubbing against my spirit. I always find out later that there was something wrong with the person or situation that was not of God.
However, I can still be extremely fearful of people-their reactions, their judgment of me, what they can do to me-from time to time. Although I am much better, thanks to the Holy Spirit working in me.
These are times when I allow my flesh (my emotions) to control my life. I allow them to rule me when clearly it is my job to rule them.
It is in these moments when we want to react, to respond, that we must pause and take a deep breath. Then respond after you have calmed down and sought God about the situation.
When we react out of our pure emotions, when we follow our emotions, we will always regret it later

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? That He was raised from the dead? Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.” If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again. Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
