What Is Your Decision?

I believe that every thing that happens in life comes down to a decision.

When people bombed the World Trade Centers, someone made that decision to go through the planning process.

If someone robs your house, that person made a decision to do so.

If someone hurts you, that person made a decision to speak those words or do that action.

Everything comes down to a decision on our part.  Believing God.  Forgiving someone.  Loving someone.  These are all decisions.

When we act based on our emotions, we are not basing our decisions on a solid foundation.  However, when we choose to make decisions, like trusting God, based on the Word, we are.

Think about the decisions you have made today, yesterday and last week.  Where they based on your feelings?  Or on the Word of God?

If you find that you are making more emotionally-charged decisions that one based on God’s Word, repent.

The word repent in the Greek is the transliterated word, metanoeo, which means simply to change one’s mind.

Just change your mind.  Pause before making decisions.  Choose to make ones based on the Word of God.
