Our Creative Words

I have been trying to eliminate phrases from my vocabulary.  For example: “I can’t” and “I don’t know.”

For many years, whenever someone wanted me to do that I didn’t think I could handle, I would say “I can’t.”

And the more I said it, the more I didn’t think I could do much of anything at all.

Every time I am frustrated or in fear, and someone asks me a question, I usually answer with “I don’t know.”  Then confusion follows.

Our words hold creative power, just as God’s do, because we are made in His image.  We are His children, when we accept Christ.

It is just as important what we don’t say as it is what we do say.

Our words today determine our future tomorrow.

Do you want a future based on the words you have been speaking?  If not, do what I am going to do.

Every time you speak a word or phrase that is fear-based and not faith-based (based on the Word of God), say “Lord, I change my words, but You can.”

Don’t beat yourself up about it.  Just surrender it to God.  After awhile, you will see, as I will, that God has taken control of our words.
