He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. – John 7:18
Someone called me self-righteous today. And I will admit that sometimes, okay, a lot of the time, I will speak what I see as the truth.
Most of which I have learn at the hands of preachers, studying the Word and from the Holy Spirit. Almost all of it, as I have been studying the Bible, the Holy Spirit has confirmed to me.
But then I have a habit of reverting back to the old man by telling people, “This is what you should do according to the Bible…” or “This is why you are having this problem.”
I am supposed to be freeing people to live for God not causing them to live in more bondage by giving them a check list of dos and donts.
I don’t believe in the to-do lists that you must do to be blessed by God because the Bible says “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:”
Already blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
Because we are in Christ, we have access to these blessings now II Peter 1:3, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:”
We have access to everything we need in Christ not because of anything we do but because of what Jesus did on the Cross.
Even I have to remind myself that I cannot earn my blessings from God, or anything at all from God.
All blessings were paid for by Jesus at the Cross…and are ours because we are in Christ.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin? That He was raised from the dead? Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.” If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again. Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
