What Are The “Jordans” In Your Life?

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;  – Numbers 33:51

Lot chose the land of Jordan, which looked beautiful to the eye.  It appeared to be Heaven come down to Earth.  Yet this land was not God’s best for Abraham and his family.  God had something better in mind.

God had Canaan, the land flowing with milk and honey, in store for Abraham and his descendants.  However it was necessary for them to pass over Jordan in order to arrive in Canaan.

Too many times, we like the way the land of Jordan looks, so we settle in it.  We throw up our tents and make camp.  We assume that because it looks good and is a nice, comfortable setting that it is God’s best.

Instead God is trying to move us out of Jordan to give us a land that is flowing with His provision and His love, a place beyond our wildest dreams, but we choose to stay in the land of Jordan, the land of “just enough.”

What are the “Jordans” in your life?  In what areas have you been settling for less than God’s best?  Pack up your tent, dust the dirt off your feet and move onto the best God has in store for you.

Remember don’t look back because God’s best is not in the past.  It is in your future.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.”  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
