Take Yourself Out

I spoke with a man recently who goes to a denominational church at which I attended a function.

He told me that we must do our best, then God will work with us to create a miracle.  He said too many people don’t want to do the work, so they take themselves out of a miracle.

I stood there, thinking that if we did take ourselves out of the miracles, we would receive more of them.

Miracles are an act of God.  He doesn’t need our help to create a miracle.  In fact, more often than not, we get in the way.

What did the children of Israel do to receive manna every day?  Nothing.  They complained about having no food, then God provided.

Many times in the Bible, the only things a person had to do to receive a miracle was to show up and ask.  The lepers, the woman with the issue of blood, Jarius–all they did was show up and ask.  Then only after Jesus initiated the miracle did they have to obey.

Show up and ask God for whatever miracle you need Him to perform.  Then follow whatever instructions He gives you.
