Not Of This World

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. – Galatians 6:14

The world is crucified unto us, and us unto the world.  What a powerful statement the Apostle Paul makes here!

The world is not to dictate how we live, what we do, how we act.  We need to be dead the influence of the world.  Glorying in the world will get us nothing but sorrow and heartache.

Glorying in God and boasting in His goodness will not only make us more intimate with God, but it will always cause the people around us to be influenced by the Christ in us.

It is time that we stop being influenced by the world and instead speak of what our God has done for us, thus influencing the world with our God and His goodness.

Remember the goodness of God leads to repentance.

  1. So true. As believers we are being challenged more and more to glory only in Christ. In all the world now He is becoming the One steady rock in a world quaking!
