But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. – Matthew 18:16

This is true even when it comes to the Bible.  You cannot lift one Scripture out of the Bible and take it and make a doctrine out of it.  No, the Bible must confirmed the Bible.  It is necessary to verify that Scripture with other Scriptures to make sure that verse isn’t an isolated incident.
