No Guilt Involved

since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) – Romans 2:15

When we live by the law, the requirement of the law will be in our hearts.  Our consciences and thoughts will always condemn us.

This is not God’s way.  His Son died to take away not only our sins but the guilt of them as well.

Now, when we sin, that sin is already forgiven.  It was already taken at the cross.

Instead of feeling guilty for sinning, all we have to do is say, “I thank You, Lord, that my sins are already forgiven.  I receive that forgiveness.”

No guilt involved.
