Jesus Gave You Authority

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus had all authority, and He gave it to you.  When He told you to go and make disciples, He gave you authority on this Earth.  And whether you stand up and take that authority determines whether you are a doormat for the devil or champion for God.

God Bless you! Thank you for sharing your faith in the Lord Jesus!

Jesus gave his authority to ultimately one man Simon, whom he gave the name Peter meaning rock. On that rock he built his Church. Not an invisible church but a visible one like a city as Matthew’s gospel points out. Peter was given the authority to bind and loose on earth with the understanding that it would also be bound and loosed in Heaven.

Peter’s church has survived 2000 years of direct attack by the devil himself and Jesus has kept his promise that the gates of hell would not prevail against it. The church has prevailed and will prevail until the end of the age when out Lord comes to judge the living and the dead.

Thank you again for all you do for spreading the word of God! Please help others to come together into the one church of Jesus as he prayed the night he was betrayed, that we may be one as he is one with the father.

God love you and keep you and may his face shine upon you and give you peace.
