Never Judged Again
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. – II Corinthians 5:10
When we speak of the judgment seat of Christ under the New Covenant, we are not talking about a place where punishment is dispensed to those who are in Christ.
We are talking about a place where God judges us righteous and bestows His blessings on us.
We have already been through the Judgment where our sins were punished. God did this 2000 years ago in the body of Christ, our Savior. God judged our sins–past, present and future–at the Cross in the body of His Son.
We will never be judged for our sins again…as long as we have accepted Christ. To be judged again would mean that Jesus’ Sacrifice on the Cross wasn’t acceptable to God. And God takes that insinuation as an insult to Himself and His Son.
