Do You Believe God Is Good?

The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.” – Numbers 6:25-26

God’s will is never to give us evil.  It is always to give us peace, to be gracious to us.

We never have to worry that God’s plan for our lives is something nasty and evil that is bad for us.  God’s will is never for us to be sick, broke or depressed.

No, God’s will is for us to live in peace, which in this verse in Hebrew is the word shalom.

Shalom means completeness, soundness, welfare, peace, safety, soundness (in body, prosperity, quiet, tranquillity, contentment.

If it is evil, it isn’t of God.  If it is good, it is.  It is as simple as that.
