Are You Blessed?
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. – 2 Corinthians 8:9
We are rich. Wealth, prosperity and abundance are not bad words. They are not curse words to God. He wants us rich.
We are children of Abraham and the first thing God did was make Abraham rich.
Not after he tithed to Melchizedek as most teach. Abraham was made rich in Genesis 13. Melchizedek showed up in Genesis 14.
It was out of the goodness that God showed Abraham that Abraham felt the need to give to God.
We do not tithe to get from the Lord. We tithe because the Lord has already blessed us. We tithe because we are so grateful for what God has already done.
God blesses us to be a blessing to others through our giving, but God must bless us first. Otherwise we would have nothing to give.
Obedience, tithing, worship–all these things come from experiencing God’s goodness, mercy and grace. They are the natural byproducts of experiencing our God at work in our lives.
Ask God to be good to you today!
