Which Covenant Do You Live Under?

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. – Hebrews 8:7

If the first covenant, the covenant based on the Law (the Ten Commandments), had been faultless, then there would have been no need for Jesus to die.

However, the Ten Commandments are only a mirror that shows us that we cannot keep any of them because if we break one, we break them all.  It shows us our need for a Saviour.

This is why Jesus had to die.  Because the Law cannot save us from our sins but Jesus could…and did.
