Where Is Your Focus?
“For the [true] love of God is this, that we do His commands–keep His ordinances and are mindful of His precepts and teaching. And these orders of His are not irksome–burdensome, oppressive, or grievous.” (1 John 5:3)
Why is following God’s commands not grievous? The church sure makes them seem that way. But could it be that maybe when we believe right, we will do right? Could it be that when we focus on being righteous by Jesus’ blood instead of sin that we will actually find ourselves doing what is right? The answer is yes. What we focus on will happen in our lives. Focus on being the righteousness of God, and you will find yourself doing right effortlessly.
