What Are You Rehearsing?
“I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old” (Psalm 77:11).
One of the things I find fascinating about Joshua is that God knew ahead of time that Joshua would be His choice to replace Moses. Barely out of Egypt, God says to Moses, “Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua:” (Exodus 17:14).
God wants Moses to keep telling Joshua how God had delivered the Israelites from Egyptian slavery.
By rehearsing it, Joshua developed great faith in what God could do in his life.
If we rehearse what God has done in our lives, we too will be like Joshua and have faith that sees the giants and still say “We are well able to overcome it.” (Numbers 13:30).
