Do You Believe God’s Love?

“Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]” (1 Corinthians 13:7, AMP).

Love.   Everything in the Christian life boils don’t to this word—love.

However, when Jesus in Mark 12:31, “And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these,” He said we must love our neighbor as ourselves.

The problem is that most of us don’t love ourselves.  Nevertheless others.

Why don’t we love ourselves?  Because we don’t know how much God Himself loves us.

When we know how much God loves us, the love of God will spill over onto others.

  1. My church gave a really insightful sermon one Sunday that boiled down to, “It’s not so much we want TO BE loved it’s that we want TO love.” We as creatures want to love and find that feeling in life, and where better to start than with loving God?
