Are You Remembering God?
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy 8:18).
Remember the Lord your God.
How many of us practice the presence of God every day? How many of us go throughout our day, thanking God for the good weather? The blessing of meeting an old friend? The blessing of not missing our bus? The blessing of having enough food? Enough money? Enough clothing?
Too many times we forget that it is not us but God who has provided us with all that we need.
It is God who allowed us to be picked for that particular job. It is God who gave us the talents and gifts we possess. It is God who granted us the responsibility of those particular children. It is God who has a wonderful plan for our lives.
If nothing else, we can thank God that Jesus died for us, that we can go to Heaven if we accept Christ, that we have two good arms, two good legs, two good ears or even just for the fact that we are alive.
We need to make a conscious effort to remember to say “Thank You” to God each and every day.
Remember I Thessalonians 5:18 tells us, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
