All Or Nothing?
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, – Colossians 2:13
Christ forgave all our trespasses. All. What does that mean? It means without exception. He forgave all our sins—past, present and future.
Future sins had to be included, or we wouldn’t be forgiven at all. All our sins at the time of Jesus’ death were future sins as we weren’t born yet.
And to say that we are forgiven the moment we confess our sins is to say Jesus didn’t do His job well enough, that it wasn’t complete.
But it was complete. We are forgiven. Period. Isn’t that wonderful?
