Where Do You Run?

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world” (1 John 2:1-2).

Christ is our propitiation. That word propitiation literally means mercy seat. Christ became the mercy seat for us, our place of mercy, where we can run when we have sinned or are in trouble.

  1. We all like sheep have gone astray! I was just telling Ben over at “Justified Freely” how we are prone to falling off the altar. But our merciful God is prone to helping us get back there! Thanks.
By the way you may want to read his link. You and he are writing off the same page just now! Here it is http://justifiedfreely.wordpress.com/2011/12/08/return/
