Power In The Blood?
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? – Hebrews 9:14
We used to sing songs about the power of the blood of Jesus, but we, on the whole of Christianity, have become just another bloodless religions.
No other belief that I know about has their deity come to Earth to live among us and die for the punishment of our sins. No other belief has their deity shedding blood for the creations.
There is indeed power in the blood of Jesus. Blood is our life. With blood, we are dead. So Jesus literally gave us His life, but His blood isn’t dead. It is alive and saves us, protects us and can heal us in every area of our lives.
It is the blood of Jesus that makes us whole.
