Are You Choosing Or Being Controlled?
Love is a choice. Think about that statement for a moment. Let it sink in.
Love is not the lovey-dovey, toe-curling, heart-pounding sensation we feel when we fall in love.
Love is a choice, just like everything else in the Christian life. Forgiveness. Repentance. Belief. They all take choosing.
We get all caught up in this realm of our feelings. Our feelings lie to us.
It is our responsibility to turn the thermostat of our souls to where God is leading. Then watch our feelings eventually catch up with that decision.
