Are You Worried?
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? – Matthew 6:25-27
Does worrying help us one bit? No. Think of this: the Israelites were told to put the blood of the lamb on their doorposts to keep their firstborn from being killed. The angel bypassed the houses where the owners put the blood on the door whether or not the people sat in their houses worrying whether the blood would work or not. God will bring us through because He loves us. Not because we are good enough or because we have done enough. Just because we are righteous through Christ.
