You Troubled?
…Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side… – John 20:19–20
Peace be with you. Jesus spoke Hebrew; therefore Jesus would have said the word Shalom here. We have heard Shalom referred to as nothing missing, nothing broken, but it means a whole lot more. It means peace in our finances, our minds, our bodies, our relationships. It means whatever is broken will be restored. If you aren’t experiencing that peace, you don’t have to look very far to find out why. It stems from a troubled heart. God told us to let not our hearts be troubled. In order to experience peace, we have to rest in what God has promised us.
