What Did Jesus Do?
And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people. – Mark 8:5-9
Before the manifestation of the miracle that fed all the people gathered to hear Jesus, what did Jesus do? He gave thanks. The thanksgiving always proceeds the miracle. The surest way to see a breakthrough, a miracle, in a certain area is to thank God for the manifestation. Thanksgiving is the highest form of praise and of ultimate trust in God.

Your Purpose Is Calling 
Thanks for the reminder to give Him thanks! When we give Him thanks we not only bring Him the honor and glory He deserves, we are taking the time to acknowledge that everything we have and everything we are is because of His grace. It takes our focus off of ourselves and puts it where it belongs, on Him.
