Are You Compelled?

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. – 2 Corinthians 5:14

For Christ’s love compels us. If it is all about our love for Christ, if it is all about us loving Christ more to obtain from Him, how can Christ’s love compel us? We have this backwards. The Christian walk is not about us at all. It is about Christ and Christ dying in our place. He loved us so much that He traded places with us. When we meditate on His love, receive it by faith, then it will overflow in our lives. That is when Christ’s love will compel us to go into the world and preach the Gospel, heal the sick, raise the death and even greater works than we have ever seen before.
