Who Are You Seeking?

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33 (NIV)

When Jesus died, He traded places with us. He took our punishment to give us His righteousness. We are now in right standing with God. Everything Jesus had, we now have.

This means that we have everything we need added to our account.

I’ve heard it said that God wont meet our needs if we don’t obey Him.

Doing things His way keeps us from trouble and saves us time and effort, but God has already met our needs.

Parents don’t stop feeding or clothing their children because they are disobedient. Why would God?

God has given us everything we need, but it is through seeking Him that we find out what we have, all that He has given us.
