Is It Grace?
And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work. – Romans 11:6
This Scripture is basically saying that grace is not of our self-effort.
We try to earn grace. We try to earn salvation. We try to earn healing. We try to earn God’s blessings, but we cannot earn any of it. We can never be good enough to earn anything from God. His standards are too high.
That is why He sent His Son to be good enough for us, to die in our place, to take the wrath and punishment for our sins.
And yet we say all of what He did wasn’t good enough because we are trying to earn God’s favor ourselves. We can’t do it.
You can’t earn anything from God. Stop trying and just receive all Jesus did for us on the Cross. 🙂
