Are You Wenting?
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. – Psalm 30:5
I have a confession to make: I suffer from depression. Most of the time I am fine, but there are times that I feel like I fell into a deep, dark hole, and there is no way out.
I am "Wenting." I know I am healed of this but have yet to see the manifestation. This was called "wenting" by Oral Roberts because the Bible says some were healed as they went.
I also know that I have come to the end of my fight, to the end of my strength, and I know it is God’s turn to take over. I know that my nights of weeping always given way to a clearer perspective in the morning.
But I am learning that I have to stop fighting and just let God do the work. That is what the Cross is all about–God doing the work while we reap the benefits.
Jesus died. We are saved. Jesus took stripes. We are healed. Jesus suffered a crown of peace on His head. We have peace in every area of our lives.
All we have to do is accept all that He has given us. 🙂
