Expressing Gratitude?
ć
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. – Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV)
Thankfulness. How many times are we thankful in a day? How many times do we thank the people around us? How many times do we thank our customers? Our pastor? Our spouses? Our family?
We are supposed to be overflowing with thankfulness, but thankfulness seems to be out of place in our society. We say it because it is polite. We say it because it is expected, but do we really mean it?
Take a moment and think of all the things and people you are grateful for. Why aren’t you expressing that gratitude to them? Why aren’t expressing your gratitude for your salvation, for the forgiveness of your sins, to God?
We need to make a conscious effort to bring thankfulness to the forefront of our minds and make every day a day of thanksgiving.
Not only is it God’s will for you, but people who are thankful overcomes problems far quicker than those who aren’t. Express your gratitude today. š
