The Spirit That Quickens

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. – John 6:63

The Words of God are spirit and life.   Jesus is the Word made flesh, so when we focus on the Word, when we meditate on it, read it, study it, we are focusing on Jesus.  We are focusing on the One who sacrificed His life for us.
