Be Persuaded

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?- Romans 10:16

Whose report do you believe?  Do believe the report of CNN, CBN or the local news?  Do you believe the doctor’s report?  Do you believe your debt reports?
Paul penned in Romans 3:4. “God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;”

In order words, we are to believe the report of our God-either in rhema (spoken) form or in logos (written) form.

The word believed here is that Greek transliterated word pisteuo.  Pisteuo means to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in; to trust in Jesus or God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something: saving faith.

There is only one thing that we need to believe in, that we need to have faith in, and that is Jesus’ death and the finished work He completed at the Cross and all that entails.

He not only died to take away our sins-past, present and future.  He made us right with God through His blood, which continually cleanses of our sins and protects us.  He took stripes for our sicknesses and diseases, so we could be healed in our mortal bodies (Romans 8:11).  He was made a curse for us.  He took the effects of the curse-lack, poverty, failure, worry, anxiety, fear and much more.

This is what we are to believe in, to be fully persuaded of.

Have you received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour?  Do you believe Jesus died to pay the price for your sin?  That He was raised from the dead?  Then just pray aloud, “Lord Jesus, I repent of all my sins.  Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour.”  If you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth, you are Born-again.  Let us know if you prayed this prayer.
