Do You Depend On Jesus?

For if by the one man’s offence death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) – Romans 5:17

Through Jesus’ death, we have received the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.  These are the things that will cause us to reign in life.

Grace is unmerited favor, God doing through us what we cannot do through ourselves and God giving us the good that we don’t deserve.

Righteousness is that we are in right standing with God not based on our performance but on Jesus’.

Depending on Jesus for our salvation, to favor us in every area of our lives and to do us good–these are the things that cause us to reign in life.

It is when we stop depending on us and stop depending on Jesus for everything–jobs, business, health, prosperity, wealth, mates–that we reign in life.
