How Is Love Expressed?
I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. Meanwhile we expectantly wait for a satisfying relationship with the Spirit. For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love. – Galatians 5:4-6 (MSG)
Faith is expressed in love. God expressed His love for us by dying on a Cross for us. It was God on that Cross. People want to compartmentalize it by saying it was Jesus, but Jesus is apart of the Godhead. He is God the Son.
Therefore God first made a covenant with us, then came to Earth and fulfilled our part of the covenant for us by living a sinless life. Then He took the punishment that should have been ours. If that isn’t love in action, I don’t know what is.
God loved us so much, wanted us with Him so much, that He did all this for us. There is no way to thank Him expect one: giving our lives back to Him for His purpose and will.
